2017 Edition

Since our first edition in 2013, we have been growing and forming this space as a platform for the promotion of Latin American talent specialized in fantastic genre films.

During the four days of the market, producers, directors, sales agents, distributors and representatives of international festivals, participated in co-production meetings, panels, debate talks and pitching sessions (Beyond the Window 2017) with participation of projects from Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Puerto Rico.

We also have screenings of films from the highly anticipated Work in Progress (Bwip) section selected by curator José Luis Rebordinos, General Director of the prestigious San Sebastian International Film Festival.

This year, as a novelty, EFFFF (European Fantastic Film Festival Federation) in collaboration with Blood Window awarded the prize for the best Latin American production of the year. The Jury composed of Evrim Ersoy (Artistc Director, Fantastic Fest), Chris Oostereom (EFFFF Chairman) and Mike Hostench (Deputy Director, Sitges Fantastic Film Festival) decided that the prize for the best Latin American film of the year is

In addition, Blood Window Screenings brought a program of special screenings for the industry with outstanding titles in international festivals and premiere in the region.

We continue with Meeting Tables, the advisory sessions and co-production meetings with industry specialists to support the development of new talents.

Spotlight on International Projects, a focus of projects under development presented by Catalán Films and Nordic Genre iInvasion. Panels and talks where the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the International Film Festival of Sitges, Catalonia was highlighted.

In closing, Fundación SGAE presented four Spanish projects from its script development workshop.
