Blood Window @ Ventana Sur

The program  is specialized in Fantasy & Horror Genre films and it includes a wide variety of activities, such as work in progress screenings,  round tables, networking events and pitching sessions for projects seeking funding. Blood Window features the upcoming genre films from Latin America.

The main objective is to foster filmmakers from the region , exploring their potencial with the support of professionals specialized in horror and fantasy genre, promoting ibero-american talents in film festivals and markets.

This sector has grown every year in film markets all around the world, offering initiatives to forge strategic alliances at a regional level but also between Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Highlights of the program:

Blood Window LAB The representatives of the selected projects will have access to a pitch training and mentoring meetings with international genre-film experts. During the sessions, the selected authors will be given the opportunity to pitch and promote their projects to a targeted audience of Jury members and Industry professionals.The awarded projects will participate in workshops and international industry events.
FANT.LATINA: New call that proposes to give visibility to the work of female filmmakers specialized in the fantastic-genre.
Blood Window Screenings: Screenings of Ibero-American films in post-production stage and world premiere in theatres.
Meeting Tables:One-on-one meetings with specialists from the industry to support the development of new talents.
FANTASMATICA:Welcome to FANTASMATICA! The new call for animated short films projects of the fantastic genre in Ventana Sur.
This initiative aims to highlight talented filmmakers who fuse the creativity and magic of animation with the intensity of the fantasy and horror genre.

Meeting With The Fantastic Film Festivals: Round tables with directors and festival programmers from renowned international fantastic film festivals.
